N.E Show (NDP 09 rehearse ) is on 11th July 2009 , (Saturday) . This years theme is : Come Together . Reaching Out. Reaching Up and the song is : What do you see which is sang by Electro. I went to school aroung 1.00 p.m. It starts around 6.00 p.m and we reached school at around 10 . 00 p.m at night .
I enjoyed very much and we were very happy although we were drenched on that day. There were many people there and most of them are students. t starts with a drum performance and so on. In the fun pack , we have many food , drinks and things , there were also a drum and a heart for us to play. Before the drum performance, there were drizzling and when the rain stops, there was a rainbow. There were also performance on the sea and in the sky. We also said the pledge, sang the national anthem and the Singapore flag flew past.
We ate Mcdonalds for dinner and there were also biscuits , drinks and crackers in the fun pack. Before the show ends, there were many big ball rolling towards us and we need to beat the ball. Although I do not have a chance, I am very happy. When we are singing some of the National Day theme songs, it started drizzling again. I thought it will be fine as it is only drizzling. However, the rain gets heavier and heavier. I put on my poncho and the show continue and some of my friends did not put on the poncho. It was raining but the fireworks still went on and the fireworks was my favourite part of the show.
When the show ends, we went to a place and waited for our bus. Luckily that my mobile and camera was not spoiled and my two bags and me was drenched too. I was very wet and I reached home at around 11.00pm. Although I was very tired, I was very happy .

P5 Camp
P5 Camp is on 7th April-9th April 09 and it is a 3days 2 night camp. P5 Camp is very fun.
On the first day, we spilt into different groups and I was in Group 3. As I was not in the same group with my friends, i met new friends. Then we went to to Labrodor Adventure Centre and the first thing we did was disign our "country" flag and think of cheers .We went to Sentosa for the Amazing Race. It was quite fun but tired as we need to run. Even though we did not win the race but I had learnt about teamwork and it is very important. At night, we played another game which is 'kidnapped'.We need to complete a puzzle first, then we also need to complete some tasks then we can guess boxes for the key to save our friend who was kidnapped we tried quite many times but we manage to get the two keys. After that we went to find for our friend and save him/her.
On the second day, we went for the high elements and I manage to complete one of them even though I am scared of heights. At night , we had campfire and there are performances by all the students and I enjoyed it very much but I was very tired .
On the third day, which is my last day at camp, we had area cleaning. I enjoyed this camp very much.

Earth Hour
For this year, earth hour has been transform into the world's first Global Election between Earth and Global Warming.It is held on 28th March 2009 from 8.30p.m. to 9.30p.m. People from all ages, nationalities , race can help vote Earth . We can vote Earth by switching off our lights for one hour. The target for Earth is 1 billion votes to tell the world leaders that we have to take action against global warming.Everyone can save mother earth by voting earth. People held this event to tell everybody to save the earth .
Everyone can do a part to save the earth . We can also Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

March Holidays
My March Holidays is boring , I almost read , played computers games , watched television , played with my brother everyday. At least, sometimes we went out for outings and more.
On Wednesday Morning about 8.00a.m.++, we went to East Coast and played, my brother and I were playing together while my parents were reading newpaper. During these days, I slept very late as I was watching television,but of course, my mum will tell me to sleep earlier. After watching television, sometimes I will just sleep but sometimes i will play my handphone.
I also need to go back to school on Monday and Tuesday for about 5 hours. Time flies and that 5 hours passed very quicky and now its time to go back to school.
Anyway, my holidays are quite boring.

Fire Safety
Fire Safety is very important that everyone has to learn. I have not experience any fire break out and saw any but it can happen in our home anytime.
It will start burning when someone forgets to turn off the stove, some children playing with matches or fire espicially during festivals or there is some electrical fault. Anything in our houses can cause fire, so we must be ready.
If there is a fire break out, this are the things we could do:

- Get out of the house immediately if you could, if not, run into a room , close the door and get a wet towel to cover the small opening at the bottom and open the window to shout for help.
- Call the police if you could reach the phone.
- Cover your mouth when you Stop,Drop and Roll .
- Cover your mouth and nose if you are caught in a smoke.
- Try to crawl to the nearest exit if you could.
When I see some children playing with fire, I would tell them to stop playing fire and of course, we cannot play with fire. Turn of the stove if its not in use. Do not place too much newspaper in your house. Do not place things like lamp near a pile of papers and even curtains and the most important thing is to inform an adult when there is a fire brask out.
I think our pupils are conscious of fire safety as some police offices had come to our school to teach us how to prevernt fire break out, what to do when there is a fire and more.
If I were given a chance to introduce an activity for the children to learn fire safety, I would be putting that into a blog with many pictures about fire break out.

Our Learning Journey to Old Ford Factory and Bukit Chandu
On 6th February 2009 , we went to Old Ford Factory and Bukit Chandu for our Social Studies learning journey with our Social Studies teacher, Mdm Wong. We left the school for Old Ford Factory about 8.30a.m.
When we reach Old Ford Factory which is located at Upper Bukit Timah Road, we saw a surprisingly new building , almost all of us suspect that it was rebuilt. A lady tour guide brought us to an AV theatre to watch a video about Singapore's history and how the Japanese tortured the Singaporeans . It was kind of scary and my classmates said it was disgusting. Next, we went to a gallery and saw Lieutenant-General Arthur Ernest Percival and Lieutenant-General Tomoyuki Yamashita statues, weaponary, equipments, pictures and newspaper articles about world war 2. After that, the guide brought us to a garden to see mant plants and crops that were useful in the past and some of the plants were used for curing dieases too! I like the last activity because I learnt how useful a plant can be.
About 11.00a.m., we reached Bukit Chandu which is located at 3lk Pepys Road. First, the guide brought us to a place which looked like a gallery and we learned more about the war, at the same place, we saw another different video about the war. Then, we went into a dark room and watch another animation about how Lietanent Adnan sacrifice his life for his homeland which is done by Nanyang Polytechnic. Next, we went to a room with real eqipments and weaponary behind the glass windows and the tour guide also tell us more about the war. I liked the first activity where the guide brought us to a place which looked like a gallery bacause i learned more about the World War 2 and I finally know that they fought on my Birthday !
I liked this Learning Journey and now I have learned more about Singapore's history.

Total Defence 2009
I want to defend my family because they take care of me and they will always be by my side . I will spent more time with them by watching movie,television programmes and having some leisure activities with them. I will also tell my parents to have a first-aid box and fire extinguisher at home for emergency.
I want to defend my school because I know many good friends and my happy memories happened in the school . If people say bad things about my school , I will tell them politely that do not scold my school as Anderson Primary School is a good school .
